the layout of Leaky Pipe and polytube to

Here you see Leaky Pipe laid into shallow "drills" at about 600mm(2ft) spacing in the prepared soil. Planting shortly follows inbetween the pipes with some soil being drawn over & covering the pipes. With schemes of this type, the system will be divided up into zones relative to their aspect, north, south, east&west as the watering requirment may vary from area to area. In this example, the planters within the central part of the carpark also water separately to the ground level zones. Each zone will be pressure regulated to 1-2Bar just before the manifold and Leaky Pipe to ensure even watering. Pressure regulation, water filtration and to a large extent, automation, is the key to successfully watering larger areas and the design of such a system may be specialist. If in doubt, contact us for guidance. Please plan well in advance! The installation of the carcass of a system like this can be made economically as a part of the building process. Once concrete and Tarmac is in place, making access for supply pipes & cable will increase installation costs. The distribution pipe here is 32mm blue pipe & 32mm uPVC through the building. The manifolds are also made from 32mm MDPE with saddles, barbed adaptors with a 12mm LDPE polytube trace to the beginning of the Leaky Pipes. |
