This 250m roll of LeakyPipe LP12L porous rubber hose kit with connectors is specifically manufactured by us to carry water further and water at a low rate, workin up to 100metres from the hose or supply pipe connection.

What's included in this Hedge Watering Kit?

This hedge watering kit has HoseSnap connectors for fast hook-up to your hose. Also some tees and plugs to allow you some connection options. All you need is a pair of sharp scissors to cut the leaky pipe and fit it to your hedge planting layout.

Ideal for watering in new hedge planting, ensuring rapid establishment and fast growing-on.

Connectors include:
- 2 of HoseSnap to straight connector (for one leaky pipe length);
- 2 of HoseSnap to tee connector (for two lengths of leaky pipe);
- 10 of 12mm end plugs;
- 5 of 12-12-12mm tees to be able to branch the leaky pipe;
- 10 of 16-12 reducer connectors (in case you need to span pathways with hosepipe between leaky pipes)

How and where to use this Hedge Watering Kit?

If your hedge branches have an unusual shape, the T connectors included in this watering kit allow the leaky pipe to branch as well to follow the route of your hedge. Lay it near the plants - within 30-50cm as the water will spread laterally. The leaky pipe works by wicking water into the soil it contacts and therefore works best if hoed into the topsoil or covered by mulch.

Generally the leaky pipe only needs to be placed on just one side of the planting, unless the plants are large (e.g. over 1m tall when planted) in which case we suggest a length of leaky pipe is laid on either side of the root ball. The leak rate of this leaky pipe LP12L will allow watering for 100m from a typical domestic water source. You can water through several lengths of leaky pipe at once (each max 100m long) and a typical water source will generally water up to 500m cumulative length of this leaky pipe.
