Hozelock-type fitting which allows easy make / break connections with garden hosepipe or 16mm supply polypipe.

These clip on/off connectors are familiar to most gardeners and are the simplest way of bringing your water supply to the LeakyPipe network you have laid out.  They easily allow connection to one or two 16mm supply pipes or garden hoses, which would form the non-leaking part of your watering network. 

The easy disconnection allows you to un-clip and use your hose for something else when you aren't watering with LeakyPipe. Simply re-clip the next time you want to water your garden. 

Choose the number of outputs you would like; 

• Single - connects to a 16mm supply pipe or garden hose.
• Tee - connects to two 16mm supply pipes or garden hoses.
  

Other sizes are available to connect direct to LeakyPipe (12mm) or 20mm supply pipe.

Connect LeakyPipe to non-porous supply pipe & hosepipes.

These will connect LeakyPipe to your supply pipe.  Simply push together to connect the 2 pipes.

Pro-quality, 16mm compression to 3/4" female threaded adaptor.

There is no more secure way of quickly attaching 16mm supply pipe to a male thread (like the one you'll find on the output of a watering timer), than with this fitting.  16mm compressions will also make a tight fit onto most Garden Hosepipes too.

No fancy tools needed to fit this adaptor!  Just a sharp cutter.    

The fitting comprises three main parts.  

A black "body”, housing an internal, rubber "O” ring  
A blue threaded collar and a White plastic, toothed split ring.  

To make "compression” connection to a pipe, firstly feed the blue collar onto the pipe.  Then push the white split collar onto the pipe, just enough for the pipe to project about 25mm from the white collar.  Now offer the end of the pipe to the fitting body.  Push the pipe into the body and you’ll feel it stop against the internal "O” ring.  With a little more push & a wiggle, the pipe will slip passed the "O” ring for a further 25mm.  This will leave the white collar, settled very close to the black body.  

All you need to do after this is simply do-up the blue collar to hold the four things together!  It doesn’t need to be tight and the brilliant thing is, you can disassemble it very easily too.  They won’t blow apart and the seal is successful by way of the "O” ring sealing on the outside of the pipe wall.  Clever, isn’t it?

Just wrap PTFE "White" tape clockwise around the Male "Mating" thread, then wind the male and female threads together, to make that connection.  Sometimes you can achieve a compression seal between these two by inserting one or two rubber, flat washers into the female part, before doing-up the Male part.

Push-fit, elbow-shaped connectors for LeakyPipe.

A plastic elbow suitable for making tight corners with LeakyPipe. The LeakyPipe itself is quite flexible and will easily curve around a 6" diameter, so the elbows are only really needed for the tightest corners. Simple push-fit, no additional clips are needed.

Non-porous 20mm pipe to deliver water from its source to the areas you want to water.

50m or 100m roll of a larger diameter black, non-porous, semi rigid plastic pipe, suitable as a permanent feeder pipe for your irrigation system. This pipe is easily cut with a sharp pair of cutters and is compatible with our range of '20' barbed fittings.  The fittings can be gently wiggled into the polytube and will grip on the internal surface without the need for additional clips.  In very cold weather, if it is difficult to insert fittings, try dipping the end into a thermos flask of hot water for about 10 seconds and this will soften the pipe slightly. As the pipe cools, it will shrink onto the barbed fittings.  Fittings can be rotated in the polytube without breaking the seal.

This LDPE (Low Density PolyEthylene) pipe is 20mm external diameter.

Adjustable Pressure Regulator Valve

An Adjustable Pressure Regulator is a device that will adjust itself to allow a suitable downstream pressure in your pipework/Leaky Pipe. It will do this automatically as the input pressure may vary.   It has a 3/4" BSP female input and a 3/4" BSP male output.

Adding a pressure reducing valve beneath a tap timer ensures compliance with the exemptions from hosepipe bans. PTFE white tape should be used be connect it to the timer. A Screw-on pipe clip for wall mounting 16mm polypipe

What can we add? It’s self-explanatory.  This is a great clip for retaining metric polypipes on brick walls or timber fences.  Just use a suitable screws and plugs as necessary.  

Pipe clips can be clipped together if you wish to run several parallel pipes.

How to customise your kit 

1. Select the number of raised beds you have
2. Select if you would like any supply pipe (size and length). The fittings will be adjusted to ensure they are compatible with your selection.
3. Double check the total area of your beds do not exceed 25m2 - this will ensure that 50m of LeakyPipe at 50cm spacing is sufficient for your beds.

Imagine this.   Firstly, find a way of running the Supply tubing onto all the places you wish to water.  Use the Tee connection fittings and a pair of cutters, to tailor the tubing to give you a "Distribution Network" to carry the water to where you will be connecting the Leaky Pipe with the reducing connections.  Run the LeakyPipe near to the plants, - (within 30-50cm as the water will spread laterally) and plug the ends.
